What does an ERP cost at Centura?
The honest answer: it depends. ERPNext is open source, you pay no licence fees. Your investment goes into a clean implementation and reliable operation. We work in stages, prioritise together, and you stay in control of the budget at all times.
One-time: implementation
Analysis, configuration, data migration, training and go-live. Project-based and in stages, we start with a process assessment and then quote at a fixed price.
Ongoing: operation
Hosting in Switzerland, monitoring, backups, updates and support. You pay per user and year, predictable and with no licence fees.
What does implementation cost?
Every project is different. First you receive a rough estimate so you know the ballpark early on. Then we conduct a process assessment and provide a binding fixed-price quote per work package. You carry no estimation risk. The following reference figures show the range for configuration & development by company size.
Process assessment & requirements
In a workshop with one of our senior solution architects, we capture your business processes in a structured way. You receive a detailed requirements specification and a binding fixed-price offer. Only then do you decide whether and how to proceed.

Frequently asked questions
Why don't you give a fixed price up front?
Because a serious price needs to know your processes. We capture them in a process assessment and then quote at a fixed price per work package. That way you only pay for what you actually need, with no estimation risk.
How long does an implementation take?
It depends on the scope of the project and how actively you drive it. Typically, you should expect 2–8 months from kick-off to go-live.
How does operation pricing work?
Operation is billed per user and year, depending on role. Power users with full access (admin, accounting, purchasing, sales) cost the most, business users for individual departments (CRM, production, logistics) less, and light users for occasional tasks (time tracking, expenses, leave requests) the least. You combine the roles freely to match your team. Important: additional modules such as CRM, HRMS or web shop do not increase your ongoing costs – you pay per user, not per module.
What counts as a user?
A user is a personal login. You create one user for each person who works in the system.
Is there a minimum number of users?
No. You can start with a single user. There is no base fee – you only pay for the users you actually need.
Can I add users or extend the system later?
Yes. You can add new users yourself at any time; they are billed from the start of the next billing period. ERPNext also grows with you functionally, modules such as CRM, HRMS or web shop are already included with no extra licence fees.
How is operation billed?
We bill operation yearly in advance. We adjust user counts fairly – you can add or reduce users at any time, effective from the next billing period. Notice is 3 months to the end of the current period; periods already paid are not refunded.
Do I pay for operation during the implementation?
No. The operation subscription (Centura Cloud) starts only at go-live. During the implementation you pay only for the implementation itself.
What does an update cost?
Updates to the standard applications are included in operation, they happen around four times a year and first on a test system you can review. For maintaining custom developments we charge 15–20 % of the development cost per year.
Am I locked in with Centura?
No. ERPNext is open source with open standards and documented APIs. Your data belongs to you, and switching to another partner or operator is possible at any time. No licence lock-in and no vendor lock-in.
